Indian smartphone manufacturer, Intex, has released a new entry-level handset, dubbed the Aqua S3. The smartphone has priced Rs. 5,777, and is now available for purchase via offline channels.
Interestingly, the new handset is said to take on Xiaomi's Redmi 4A which is also costing about the same price.The new Intex handset supports 4G with VoLTE which in turn will support Reliance Jio's network.
The handset also brings a high capacity charger (2A) that the company claims can reduce charging time by around 35 percent.
The biggest highlight of the handset is the fact that it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The Intex Aqua S3 also comes with support for Nougat-specific features like split-screen multitasking, support for a quick reply, and Doze power saving mode and many others.
In terms of specifications, the Intex Aqua S3 bears a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832A processor paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The handset supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB).
The dual-SIM handset brings an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, and a f/2.0 aperture. At the front, it comes with a 5-megapixel tagged with a f/2.2 aperture and a LED flash.
The smartphone measures 146.6x73x9.8mm and weigh 164 grams. Fitted with a 2450mAh battery, the handset is said to be going on sale in Champagne color variant.
To add, the handset also offers a QR code scanner that can scan codes automatically and shows the tagged information.
