The flawless time for new Galaxy S8 owners to try out Bixby Voice and get accustomed to using it regularly would be right at launch, but now the early GS8 buyers won't have that feature to try out.
Without revealing exact numbers, the South Korean manufacturer said that the early figures for preorders for the two devices showed a "double digit" growth.
The Bixby digital assistant, which was announced by Samsung last month along with its newest flagship smartphones, is Samsung's answer to Siri and Google Assistant. It's worth noting that the Galaxy S8+ costs approximately $100 (or Rs. 6,700) more than the Galaxy S8+. The global launch of the new Galaxy smartphones is slated for April 21, which includes India as well. Samsung touted the feature as giving users full voice control of their device. However, using your voice to have Bixby rotate an image or even do numerous things that are expected within other AI assistants won't be available for at least a month or so - we're nearly into the summer, after all. Users would not mind getting their phone wet because it is water-resistant.
According to market researcher TrendForce, Samsung won back the top spot with a 26.1 percent market share for the January-March period, gaining from 18.5 percent in the final quarter of 2016.
"The economically priced, high-performing Galaxy J series sustained Samsung's shipments and contributed significantly to the expansion of the brand's overall smartphone production volume", TrendForce reported. Fans hope that the Note 8 would not have the same issues like its previous model. That's why you should be aware of an announcement that Samsung made today regarding the GS8. However, Samsung is working hard on making it work.
