The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturing giant, HTC decided to go for a rather quiet announcement with the new HTC X10 smartphone. We saw some new info about the device just yesterday and now the company has made it official in Russia. Just as we expected that smartphone comes with a 5.5″ Super LCD display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Internally it is powered by the MediaTek P10 SoC and it has 3GB of RAM. It also has 4,000 mAh massive battery. It also has an Energy Saving Mode, a Maximum Power Saving Mode, and offers fast charging mode (5V / 2A). The company says that it will give you nearly two days of charging which is a huge claim.
In terms of the camera, we have a 16MP rear-facing camera with a f/2.0 aperture. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter which comes with a f/2.2 aperture and shoots wide angle pictures. To store the pictures, users will get 32GB of native storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card upto 2TB as well. The new HTC X10 is priced at 19,990 rubles which roughly translates to about 23,000 INR. Having said that, we would like to know if this is something that you would be interested in purchasing when it comes to India? Earlier – In January 2017, HTC unveiled the new U series by launching the U Ultra and U Play smartphones. The devices come with last-gen processors at a super premium price making them less appealing when compared to other smartphones at their respective price ranges. HTC is also long rumored to launch the One X10 high-end smartphones. This will be the second smartphone to launch under this X series. While there is no official confirmation, the leaks already revealed the key specifications and the first look of the device. Now, the leaked teaser image with the tagline "big style meets, bigger battery" hints the device to come with huge battery capacity.
The device comes with an unibody metal design in all-metal back color. From the image, we can spot the protruding rear camera and a fingerprint sensor just below it. The volume rocker and fingerprint sensor are placed on the right edge of the device. Based on the earlier leaked specifications, the HTC One X10 sports 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It comes powered by year's old MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor coupled with Mali T860 GPU. The recently launched HTC U Play priced at Rs. 39,990 also uses the same Helio P10 SoC.
It also packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. The device will be running on the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the HTC Sense UI skin on top. On the camera front, the One X10 features a 16MP primary camera with dual tone LED flash and an 8MP secondary camera for selfies. The connectivity options on this dual SIM include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and NFC. Apart from the newly leaked Black color, the HTC One X10 might also come in White and Grey color options. Even with not so impressive specifications, the device might not cost cheap.
Earlier this week, Sony launched the Xperia XA1 smartphone in India for Rs. 19,999. Looking at the known specifications, the Sony Xperia XA1 will be much better device than the One X10 and we also think the One X10 to cost a lot higher. What do you think about the Helio P10 powered One X10 that will be officially launched in the next few weeks? Lets us know your opinion by comment below.
