A delay in the release of the Xiaomi Mi 6 could be the result of the Snapdragon chipset that is widely-expected in the device. As previously stated, the device will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor that's going to be coupled with the whopping amount of 6GB of RAM. However, many tech experts believe that the short supply of the Snapdragon 835 chips is not that bad after all and the issue has been exaggerated. Reports have been showing that Apple isn't going to be the only major tech company to rush the launch of its flagship device Xiaomi is following in Apple's footsteps meaning that the Chinese giant will launch its upcoming flagship Xiaomi Mi 6 device. News about the smartphone's release date has also been making rounds and it is still expected in February 2017, though certain reports have claimed an April release. The other feature which makes it impressive is the price. As a mid range mobile, the high specs from Xiaomi will be the most talking aspects of the m arket.

According to a report in GSMArena, the Xiaomi Mi 6 could be made available in two storage variants, 128GB and 256GB and three colour variants, blue, white and black. The reason being is that the phone has been receiving a handful of leaks as of the recent, and the latest one, so far, suggests that its design might not entirely be different than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. The leaked photo showed a rather fresh design for the Xiaomi Mi 6 from its current-generation model, the Xiaomi Mi 5, particularly in the camera lens placement.
