ASUS Announces Zenfone 3 Smartphone Family

Asus on Monday unveiled the the Asus ZenFone 3.

With the look of the Zenfone 3 flagship, Asus seems to be continuing this trend of hipsterism.

ZenFone 3 Deluxe stand out in the competition among these three offerings that is powered by Snapdragon 820 chip, 6GB RAM, 256 GB storage, 23MP rear camera, 8MP front camera and more. The screen features a 5.5-inch LCD display with 500 nits of brightness, making the device readable even under sunlight.

Among other key features, the Deluxe model includes 23MP rear camera with Sony IMX318 sensor and 4-axis Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) capability for getting the best image clarity and blur-free shots. The device also comes with a 4800 mAh battery and USB-C for connectivity.

The New Asus Zenfone 3 will be available in four color options - gold, black, blue, and white colours.

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the company's new flagship smartphone, and as such, it is the most expensive out of the bunch. The main differen ce with the Deluxe's battery is that it has support for QuickCharge 3.0 via its USB Type-C 3.0 port. In this event Asus is expected to launch the new generation ZenFone 3 models. It is available in attractive colors of silver, gray and pink. The company is yet to reveal the release dates for the three new phones. All of the ZenFone 3 smartphone models run on the Android Marshmallow operating system.

The third variant, Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra features a 6.8-inch full HD phablet. The Deluxe and Ultra editions respectively carry starting price of $499 and $479, GSM Arena reported. The display is powered by ASUS-exclusive Tru2Life+ Video technology and can display videos in 4K UHD resolution. But its a bit thicker, at 8.35mm, and it has a built-in Microsoft Surface-style kickstand that lets you prop up the tablet without using the removable keyboard cover.

The device is available in two variants.

Asus has also been hyping the Ultra's multimedia credentials, touting an "NX P smart amplifier" for improved sound as well as Hi-Res Audio support. The processor features eight Cortex-A53 cores maxing out at 2GHz, and this will be supported by an ample 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
