Samsung announced the launch of its next flagship smartphone, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, for the Indian market today. However, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge mainly differ in terms of their screen sizes, battery capacities and some design. This means that it works incredibly well in low-light and the fast focus ensures the user captures their shot every time.
Available in white, black, silver and gold, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be priced at Rp 8.9 million (US$680) and Rp 10.49 million, respectively, and available for pre-order until March 13.
Now the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have been revealed to the world, Samsung has made a decision to show off the brand new camera sensor that resides in both phones, despite it already being in mass production, and about to be in the hands of eager new phone owners. On top of that, Samsung has opened pre bookings from today onwards and all those who preorder it, till 17 March, would get a free VR headset!
While Samsung has yet to come out with details about the upcoming flagship, it is expected that the Galaxy Note 6 will be unveiled in the latter part of the year, maybe as early as August.
Samsung Galaxy S7 price in India will be Rs. 49,000 while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge price in India will be Rs. 59,000. Responding to customer demands, the company has added these features back to the Galaxy S7 lineup.
Camera: Samsung has come with a 12-megapixel rear camera for the both the handsets. Both run the latest version of Google's Android operating system, Marshmallow. The two new high-end smartphones have a Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The memory space can be expanded through the use of a microSD card slot.
The two devices, apart from the chipset variants, have a staggering 4GB RAM boost along with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded via a micro SD card to 200GB.
