We haven't heard much from HTC in the past few months, though they have released smartphones, there wasn't much buzz around it. But HTC's recent dealings with Google mean that the company still has some steam – in fact, it is planning to release 5-6 smartphones next year.

We haven't heard much from HTC in the past few months, though they have released smartphones, there wasn't much buzz around it. But HTC's recent dealings with Google mean that the company still has some steam – in fact, it is planning to release 5-6 smartphones next year.

One of these smartphones will be the company's flagship, and will also feature a dual camera system since well, everyone is doing it. If you remember, HTC was one of the first companies to introduce a dual camera setup in the form of the HTC One M8 released a few year back.

But seeing as that HTC currently has one of the best camera smartphones in the form of the HTC U11, it wouldn't be a surprise if their latest flagship will match or even be better than the ones from other companies.

But HTC does need to step their game if they're planning to get back to the top, especially with Apple, Samsung and a few emerging Chinese companies like Oppo and Xiaomi dominating the charts.
