Andy Rubin Essential smartphone will be released in a few weeks

In a Email to potential customers Andy Rubin has announced that his Essential smartphone will appear "in a few weeks." Rubin says the smartphone is already being tested with US and international operators, and his team is working around the clock to deliver the device to the costumers.

Essential phone was introduced in May, and then Rubin promised it will begin delivering within 30 days. But it did not happen. Now again, there is no exact date, so it is quite possible that a further delay will follow. "A few weeks" could mean a month, it could mean two months too, so it's not clear when we'll see this exciting new device.

"I personally wanted to thank you for putting your name down for our first phone. We've been hard at work getting everything ready and the good news is that we're now going through certification and testing with multiple US and international carriers.

You might be getting impatient to get your hands on your new Essential Phone (and I'm also impatient to get it to you!) but rest assured that you will have a device in your hands in a few weeks.
