ZTE : to release a rugged smartphone soon

Spotted on TENAA, a new rugged smartphone by China-based smartphone maker ZTE will be released soon.

With the model number C501, the smartphone combines both rubber and metal in order to form a sturdy and rugged chassis. The 4.50-inch C501 is rather modest in specifications as it will be powered by an unknown CPU clocked in at 1.1GHz and paired to 2GB of RAM. For 2017 standards, that makes it rather outdated. There will be 16GB of internal storage at your disposal, which can be further expanded via the use of microSD cards. In the camera department, you will find an 8-megapixel rear shooter working in tandem with a 2-megapixel front-facer.

Of course, do keep in mind that the selling point of the smartphone is not its specifications, but rather its durability, as users related to the industrial and outdoors sector will find much to like about a tough device like this. No word as to when the device will be made available, but seeing how it's on TENAA already, expect some kind of announcement from ZTE on its release.
