Panasonic Intros Two Eluga Smartphones with AI Assistant Arbo

First to feature the company's new Arbo virtual assistant, both the smartphones will be exclusively available on Flipkart and will fight the likes of budget smartphones from Chinese and Indian smartphone makers such as Xiaomi, Lenovo, Huawei, etc. and Lava, Intex, Micromax respectively. What do you think of these new phones from Panasonic? Besides, the company mentioned that Arbo also keeps a detailed list of all the applications functioning on the smartphone, gathers detailed information on their habits and informs them about it accordingly. According to Panasonic, Arbo is derived from Esperanto and it means "a framework that supports climbing plants".

Talking about the Eluga Ray X, it comes with an IPS 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. It is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB RAM.

On the camera front, it has a 16MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, and an 8MP front camera with a wide-angle lens and a flash. It houses a 3,000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. It also bears a fingerprint sensor built in the home button. It weighs 165 grams and measures 148x73x9.5mm. As for connectivity, it includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio with RDS, and Micro-USB with OTG support. "It comes with a 5.2" IPS full-HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, and it is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

The handset features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. This phone gets its juice from 4000mAh battery. Other features on the smartphone include a fingerprint sensor, 4,000mAh battery, and connectivity options like 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and Global Positioning System. This phone has dimensions of 153.4×77.0×10.5mm and weighs 193g. The Panasonic Eluga Ray X is priced at Rs 8,999, while the Eluga Ray Max is priced at Rs 11,499 for the 32GB variant, and Rs 12,499 for the 64GB variant. The smartphone will come in Gold, Metallic Silver, and Rose Gold colour variants.

As of now, this new virtual assistant will be available only with Panasonic Eluga Ray Max and Eluga Ray X. It will not be available on older phones as if now, but Panasonic is not ruling out the possibility of making it available on some of their popular phones through an OTA update.
