New Galaxy Leaks Reveal Samsung's Shiny Challenge To iPhone

Leaked images of the Galaxy S7 Edge in Glossy Black have now surfaced online, revealing a glossier shade of black than the current Onyx Black. If you buy the Galaxy S7 or the S7 Edge you can get the Gear VR for free along with a $50 voucher for the Oculus shop.

As you can see in the images above, a glossy black finish is found all around the body of the Galaxy S7.

Samsung has apologized and offered refunds and gift cards to all Galaxy Note 7 owners, but apparently that wasn't enough for some of Samsung's regional branches.

The deal, which technically starts on Thanksgiving, lets you pick up an the 32GB iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus for free when you trade-in an eligible smartphone.

Verizon matched one of T-Mobile's most popular Black Friday offers, saying customers can get a free iPhone 7 by trading in of a recent smartphone.

The Samsung Glossy Black Galaxy S7 Edge does look good but the glossy material is a magnet for fingerprints and you will have a problem keeping the phone clean. They will give you a free flagships from Samsung, LG and "other top-selling smartphones" after 24-monthly credits when you trade in a qualified device... and you pay sales tax along with meeting all the requirements. Before doing so, you should know that installing a new ROM will delete all your phone's data, so make sure you back up everything important. With this new colour of S7 Edge, Samsung will again be comfortable drawing a direct comparison between its Android handset and the iOS equivalent.

But potential new customers may prove harder to convince as Samsung's biggest in-house parts supplier grapples with the reputational fallout from the Note 7 debacle.

Apple recently announced that they will be joining the Black Friday Sale.

The South Korean technology company recalled the Galaxy Note 7 worldwide in September after a faulty battery caused the device to catch fire.

Samsung is beta testing the Nougat update for the Galaxy S7 duo and its using this as an opportunity to improve and renovate TouchWiz.

Would you buy a glossy black Galaxy S7?
