A new fleet of super-modern buses where passengers can charge their phones will soon be hitting Hull's roads.
Stagecoach has spent £2.7m on 15 state-of-the-art buses in preparation for Hull UK City of Culture 2017.
The buses are kitted out with high-backed leather-style seats with USB charging points. They also have environmentally friendly Euro 6 engines.
The fleet will join Hull's Simplibus network, which connects the city's estates and residential areas with the city centre.
Michelle Hargreaves, managing director for Stagecoach in Hull, said: "We are tremendously proud that Hull has achieved City of Culture status. This huge investment in brand new buses shows our commitment to local people ahead of this important year.
"Coupled with smart ticketing, online payments, and a new smartphone app – along with the imminent introduction of Dayrider tickets available on mobile phones – these new buses demonstrate that Hull is amongst the leading UK cities in delivering effective, modern public transport."

The firm has launched the fleet with a new campaign selling the benefits of travelling on their buses saying, "I'm not driving, no parking fees for me" and "I'm not driving, I'm texting friends".
Councillor Martin Mancey, Hull City Council's portfolio holder for transport, welcomed the multi-million pound investment.
He said: "I am delighted to see that Stagecoach are investing in the most up to date buses which will not only offer greater comfort but also provide state of the art facilities for their passengers.
"The high quality of these new buses will be immediately obvious, and my hope and expectation is that they will not only be greatly appreciated by existing users but also prove attractive to potential new users, encouraging more people to leave their car at home and travel by bus.
"I'm sure they will create a very good impression for the thousands of visitors that will arrive in the city for our City of Culture events next year."
