Samsung Galaxy S8 leak, release date rumors: Press invite for the MWC 2017 Galaxy Unpacked event spotted online?:(Facebook/SamsungMobile)Official product render for the Samsung Galaxy S7 handset

Samsung has just seemingly sent out its press invite, or at least a sample of it, for its next Galaxy Unpacked event next year. By the looks of it, the timing of the gathering appears to be somehow similar to the predicted timeframe for the launch of the company's next-generation smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S8.

The invite was posted online by tipster Ricciolo on Twitter, suggesting that Samsung is set to hold its Galaxy Unpacked event right around the same time as next year's Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017), which is set to kick off in Barcelona, Spain.

To be more specific, the photo shows the date when the alleged Samsung Galaxy S8 will be unveiled to the public, which is scheduled to take place on Feb. 26, 2017. There is, of course, no way to confirm whether or not the invitation is accurate.

GSM Arena points out that it is very much unlikely for the tech giant's public relations team to have prepared the invites this early on, considering that the supposed event is still a few months away from happening. With this in mind, it is best for fans to keep an open mind for the time being and consider this as a mere speculation until proven otherwise.

Meanwhile, rumors have it that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is said to come out without the clickable home button on its front screen, a feature that has always been included in the phone since it first came out in 2010.
