Two New Smartphones with Snapdragon 820 will soon be released by Nokia

It has been rumoured for a long time that Nokia is ready to release several new Android smartphones. In last May, one of these rumours surfaced that showed unveiling of tablets based on Android OS. But now a new leak reveals that two Android handsets that could pack a Snapdragon 820 with a 2k display feature will soon be released by Nokia.

It is shown by the report that the case of the two devices will have Nokia brand which is reportedly developed by HMD Global. In addition, it was also unveiled that HMD Global had bought part of the smartphone division from Microsoft Mobile which integrated Nokia's phone business after it was acquired in 2014. Now, after the purchase, it became possible for HMD Global to bring innovation in the development of smartphone under the Nokia brand.

According to , to Nokiapoweruser, the leaked pictures of the smartphones give the impression that they will come in different sizes. The smaller model will sport a 5.2-inch display while the larger one will be with a 5.5-inch screen. Moreover, these two Nokia smartphones will have 2k display resolution.

SPECIFICATIONS
  • Both handsets will have a 2k display resolution and come with Z-Launcher System UI, the latest Android Nougat 7.0.
  • Snapdragon 820 chipset will be featured on both smartphones, despite the latest processor model from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 821, has recently been released.
  • The Android-based Nokia smartphones are expected to come with a full-metal body having IP68 certification, certainly mean protection against water and dust.
  • Direction of a 22.6MP rear camera on one of the smartphones is also rumoured, expectedly be called the Nokia P1.

    The two devices are expected to launch in last quarter of this year or by early next year, so more details on the upcoming Nokia smartphones running on latest Android OS are bound to surface in the coming weeks.
