Confirming both good news and bad this week is the ever reliable leak sources, Nowhereelse.fr. The French website has famously obtain the designs ahead of release for the Samsung Galaxy S6, S7, Note 5, as well as Apple;s iPhone 6S and SE and now it has pulled off this trick again with schematics for the iPhone 7.
What immediately stands out about the schematics, is the iPhone 7 will indeed retain a virtually identical form factor and design to both the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S.
So how identical the forthcoming iPhone 7 to the iPhone 6S? The iPhone 7 measures 67.12mm wide, 138.3mm tall, while the iPhone 6S – 67.1mm wide, 138.3mm tall. Moreover, it isn't just the dimensions, but also the overall look of the iPhone 6S is retained and Nowhereelse claims that it also expects the iPhone 7 to be exactly 7.1mm thick – the same as the iPhone 6S and 1mm thicker than the iPhone 6.
If the spectators were expecting the traditional hardware redesign associated with an iPhone 'number change,' then Apple fans look set to be disappointed. This will be the third generation of the Cupertino's iPhone to look like the iPhone 6.
While the schematics appear to show the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 7 variant will indeed miss out on the dual camera. The dual camera sensors is said to be launching in a new 'iPhone 7 Pro' model, and it will get some optical enhancement. Secondly, the schematics don't show any rubber antenna lines on the back panel of the iPhone 7.
According to a MacRumors report, citing the details shared on Japanese blog Maco Takara, the next-generation Apple flagship smartphone – iPhone 7 – will probably come without the rumored Smart Connector. The Smart Connector enables third-party keyboards to work as soon as they're plugged in without the use of batteries or charging, one we've seen on iPad Pro.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus/Pro is expected to be launched some time in September. As for the Apple iPhone 7 release date, the next-generation Apple iPhone smartphones will be released in the market a week after the launch.
