HTC launches Desire 830 Smartphone

HTC has just announced a brand new smartphone that offers a feature that even its latest flagship smartphone doesn't boast. Note that the battery is slightly larger compared to the battery inside the Desire 820, although the higher display resolution is likely to compensate for the extra battery juice.

The Desire 825 was unveiled alongside the Desire 530 and Desire 630 at MWC 2016. Nevertheless, it looks like the phone maker is not quite done yet, and it's preparing to reveal yet another device with the same designation. As the name implies, the Desire 830 is successor to the Desire 820, which had launched two years ago. With a cheap price tag of $310, the Desire 830 has many neat little features and incorporates what's sorta missing from the HTC 10: front-facing BoomSound speakers.

Most of the specs we listed last week turned out to be true.

It's easy to lose track of where HTC is at with its Desire line of mid-range phones. The phone will be available for buy starting from Friday. Unfortunately, this is all the information that we have concerning the phone's availability.

It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 SoC clocked at 1.5GHz. HTC has equipped the Desire 830 with a 13MP primary camera with OIS on the back and a 4MP UltraPixel secondary shooter on the front. The battery measures in at 2800mAh. Of course we have to mention the operating system as well. Then again, with Android 6.0 Marshmallow's power efficiency during standby, and the lack of a QHD screen, we'd be surprised if it can't get you through a full day on a single charge.
