Yu Televentures, a new brand that was founded by Micromax Co-founder Rahul Sharma is going to announce their next Smartphone in India called as Yunicorn. This latest smartphone has been dubbed as YU Yunicorn Smartphone. "Join us in the unveiling of the phone that will redefine flagships".
Though not much is known about the device, it is believed to arrive with a fingerprint scanner and boast a metallic body. IT seemed to be packed with good hardware aspects and capable of rendering a polished experience. In fact, if you remember these phones were launched exclusively under the tie-up with Cyanogenmod, the partnership that's no more exclusive. The benchmark listing says that the Yu5530 will have an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, and featured with 4 GB of RAM.
One of the key bits about the Yunicorn is that this will be launched without CyanogenOS. However, Yu revealed that the existing phones backed by Cyanogen OS will get updates, b ut the upcoming phones will be stock Android-based.
The company has also revealed that the new handset will run on Android with an integration of Around Yu, the service aggregator platform introduced past year.
This software is the result of Project Highway on which Yu developers are working for the last several months. "Earlier we had launched a few phones running pure Android along with CyanogenOS devices". The feedback from the people was that they liked pure android more. This platform was the year before along with Yutopia smart phone.
