Selfie Expert Smartphone OPPO F1 Heads to Europe

It is powered by a 64 bit 2.0 GHz Octa Core Helio P10 MediaTek MT6755 Processor with 4GB of RAM.

Selfie lovers, take notice: Chinese phone manufacturer Oppo has a new device out, and it has a 16-megapixel front camera. The phone will be available in two colour variants - Gold and Rose Gold.

Named as the Selfie expert, Oppo F1 Plus will release in European and Southeast Asian markets only and will feature an all-metal rear case akin to most premium smartphones.

It's a hybrid dual SIM phone that runs the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with Oppo's Color OS 3.0.

The OPPO F1 Plus is an upgrade over the original F1 and is an worldwide version of the R9 that recently unveiled in China.

The F1 Plus 16 MP front-facing Hi-Light Camera has been purpose-built for catching clear, vivid photos in any lighting condition.

In 2016, the Galaxy S7 has fewer megapixels on its main camera than the Oppo F1 Plus has on its front. The device measures just 6.6mm in thickness and weighs in at 145 grams. Presently, Foxconn has its production lines at Chennai to fulfill Oppo's smartphone requirements in India.

The USP of the device lies in the camera department; it features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF that can record videos at 4K resolution.

Oppo is selling the device as a "selfie expert", but it seems that its overall quality is just "good" and not incredible, according to The Verge. It packs a 2,850mAh battery that works with VOOC Flash Charge rapid-charging technology. The F1 fingerprint sensor is capable of recognizing a fingerprint to unlock the phone in only 0.2 seconds.

Coming to the Connectivity options the smartphone include 2G/3G/4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB options. "Camera-Phones are usually our emphasis and we intend to enhance the customers the very best camera encounters", Li said.

Besides, Oppo announced its association with ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh as its first sports ambassador for this cricket season.
