Samsung launches new smartphone, adds extra feature for bikers

South Korean tech giant Samsung launched a new smartphone - Galaxy J3 - priced at Rs 8,990, designed specifically for bike riders in India. This is a dedicated feature for two-wheeler riders which works as an automated answering machine, while the rider is on his/her two-wheeler.

It automatically replies to incoming calls with a pre-recorded message, available in 14 languages, while the user is riding a vehicle.

Even then, the driver won't be able to immediately take the call.

Quick Activation: The Galaxy J3 has in-built NFC hardware and the device has an S bike mode NFC Tag. This tag can be affixed at a convenient place (eg. helmet or a fuel tank) and the user can gently tap the device on this tag to activate/deactivate the S bike mode. However, in case of urgent calls, the dialer is asked to press "one", following which, the call goes through to the receiver but it can only be answered once user brings the bike to rest.

Users can also see a log of call notifications while the mode is enabled.

The Samsung's Internet 4.0 web browser is now available for some of the Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S7 Edge, S7, Note 5 and S6.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 Smartphone has a 5 inch HD display with Super AMOLED technology which maintains to offer 100 more contrast and 40 per cent additional colour than the TFT display.

Another selling point of the phablet could be the massive 5,000 mAh battery, along with the fact that it ships with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.

The handset is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. However, you will now get 4GB of RAM, a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, and a battery capacity increase of 1000 mAh, as it will now be 5000 mAh. The Galaxy J7 (2016) has a dimension of 151.7 x 76 x 7.8 mm and weighs 170 grams.

Install content blockers and use the new ultra-privacy mode with the latest version of Samsung's Android browser. The manufacturer has provided nearly same connectivity options to both of the J series 2016 handset like 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth V4.1.
