Washington: Microsoft is reportedly gearing up to release its new smartphone named Surface Phone in October. It is expected that the release of this handset will change the fortune of the Microsoft Mobiles.

Sources claim that the Surface Phone will be the most powerful phone ever seen by mankind. Microsoft is planning to release the Surface Phone in three variants - 4GB RAM with 64GB storage space, an advanced version which releases with 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage space, and a "pro" version with 8GB of RAM with 512GB of storage space.

It is expected that Surface Phone would also release into the markets with a "Start Button" at the bottom center of the device.

The button, when tapped once, would open the menu, and when this button will be held for a few seconds, it would launch Cortana.

Redmond-based Microsoft is expected to release the Surface Phone alongside the Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2.
