There, the Korean tech giant introduced its new mid-range lineup dubbed the "K" series, consisting of several smartphones including the LG K7 and LG K10. Both the LG K7 and the LG K10 will hit the shelves next week on April 14, but as yet the retail prices remain unspecified.
LG Electronics plans to release new low-end smartphone models called the "Make In India, True 4G", which are manufactured in India, at Ashok Hotel in New Delhi on April 14. It claims that K Series smartphones will be the first to offer LG's glossy pebble design language. In the invite, the company clearly shows that the smartphones will come with LTE connectivity.
LG will manufacture cheap smartphones in India after signing a contract with Indian smartphone maker GDN Enterprises for the use of its factory. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB 2.0. Otherwise, the smartphone is equipped with a 2,300 mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. On the specifications fro nt, the LG K10 features a 5.3-inch HD display with a pixel density of 720p.
The 4G LTE variant of LG K10 features a quad-core processor clocked at either 1.3GHz or 1.2GHz, or an octa-core processor clocked at 1.14GHz. Some of the other specifications included are 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel rear cameras (depending on the region); a 5-megapixel front-facing camera; 1.5GB or 1GB RAM; 8GB or 16GB inbuilt storage, and 2125mAh battery. The LG K7 has a 5-inch display with resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and has 196 ppi along with 2.5D Arc Glass. The LTE version of the smartphone is powered by a 1.1GHz processor while the 3G variant features a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC. The primary camera of the smartphone will be either 8.0-megapixel or 5.0-megapixel depending upon the various markets. It comes with 8-megapixel main camera (LTE variant) / 5-megapixel main camera (3G variant) and 5-megapixel front facing unit with LED flash.
