Huawei unveils new flagship smartphone, the P9

It claims that the arrangement will improve the colour, the clarity, the light sensitivity and many other parameters which will improve your camera experience. Huawei says the two cameras work together to effectively create one single image sensor with a pixel size equivalent to 1.76 microns.

Additionally, users can capture stunning monochrome photos by only using the monochrome sensor.

Both the phones come in variety of colors from Grey to Rose Gold and materials including a Ceramic edition.

The smartphone can capture light three times better and offers 50% better contrast. Nevertheless, the unique setup would not have in place without the efforts of the legendary camera maker Leica which is the front liner in premium iconic brand in cameras. However, Leica didn't manufacture the cameras.

When probed for details, the publication was told that the two cameras have Leica certification.

The Huawei P9 has launched in six colors around the world, but Europe is going to miss out on two of those.

At first glance, the newly-launched P9 doesn't look very different from its predecessor, the P8. The rumor mill long predicted that the latest Huawei device may pack in a dual-lens rear camera; it appears they were right; and this dual-lens camera is unlike any other, it is "co-engineered" by Huawei with Leica, the renowned optics manufacturer.

Of course, the most notable aspect of the devices is the camera - or more specifically, cameras.

Huawei is also unveiling P9 Plus, featuring a 5.5-inch Press Touch display and a larger 3400mAh battery. The internal storage is 16GB and is expandable up to 128GB more via the microSD card slot. A dual SIM option will be available in China.

As for its other features, the specs sheet lists a Kirin 955 processor with 3GB and 4GB RAM versions.

P9 and P9 Plus' USP is the dual setup 12-megapixel camera camera. The P9 is fuelled with a 3,000mAh battery, and a 3,400mAH battery powered the P9 Plus.

Running on the latest version of Android, Marshmallow 6.0, both devices use the company's standard OS Emotion, which bears some similarities to iOS regarding its design.

Huawei today announced the P9, which is designed with the art of photography in mind with improvements and innovative features across the board.

As for the price points, the Huawei P9 costs 599 Euros (approx Rs 45,500) and 649 Euros (approx Rs 49,500) and the P9 Plus costs 749 Euros (approx Rs 57,000).
