iPhone 6c Rumors, Release Date and Specs: 4-INCH iPhone With Larger Battery?

After releasing a few bestseller phones this year, Apple is ready to launch another winner: the iPhone 6c. According to reports, the iPhone 6c will be a 4-inch smartphone with 1642 mAh battery. It will be slightly larger than iPhone 5s, which had 1570 mAh. Mass production of the unit will begin in January.

While the iPhone 5c is available in bright colors like blue and green and was made of plastic, it is rumored that the iPhone 6c will arrive in three colors: gold, silver and black, according to IDT. The new phone will not have a plastic casing, instead, it will be metallic like other iPhones.

According to Digital Trends, the iPhone 6C will be a mid-range smartphone at £300/$400 (AU$500). Likewise, the iPhone 6c includes an A9 chip, 2GB memory, 1136×640 4-inch screen, Touch ID and NFC capability for Apple Pay. But it will not have 3D Touch as per the latest updates.

Moreover, the iPhone 6c is expected to have an improved FaceTime HD camera with f2.2 aperture. There will be a digital camera with the light splitter. It would split red, green and blue light and send each to a dedicated sensor. This feature will help the user to capture clear and sharper images.

Last week it was reported that the iPhone 6c will have an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2.5D curved edge cover glass just like with the iPhone 6s and 6s plus. Along with these features, you have a 1.2- megapixel front-facing camera to click better selfies. Since there are no updates debunking this rumor, we can expect a better camera  feature from iPhone 6c.

Apple has considered sapphire display to deliver a higher degree scratch and shatter resistance. According to tech experts, it will be better than Gorilla Glass. The sapphire display worked well in Apple Watch. There is a possibility of including OLED technology to provide better contrast.

Apple may unleash iPhone 6c in March during a media event along with the next-gen Apple Watch, according to BGR. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy 7 and LG G5 are also targeting the same market as does iPhone 6c.
