Acer releases Liquid Z530, Z630s – Selfie focused phones: Know the details

The world of smartphone technology has been one of the most rapidly growing sectors in recent times, and the competition in this has been cut-throat, for the lack of a better word.

A large number of players have been arriving in the markets and competition between them has been intense.

The markets are growing at a rapid pace and expansion has been largely visible.

Several local and international names have sprang up in the markets and have become active participants in the sales.One of these names in the markets is that of Acer.

The Taiwan based Acer has often been an company which has been trying to tap into various markets.

Acer has been a name which has been making a silent impact on the markets of technology, and they have been entering the smartphone markets quite openly off late.

The company has also been working on several other models, and as per the reports obtained from NDTV 360, the company has released two new phones into the markets, which are selfie-centric phones – The Acer Liquid Z530 and the Acer Liquid Z630s.

The Acer Liquid Z530 features a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) IPS OGS display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6735) processor with 2GB of RAM. The Android 5.1 Lollipop-powered smartphone also houses 16GB of inbuilt storage and can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Under connectivity options, the handset includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB connectivity options. It measures 144×70.3×8.9mm and is backed by a 2420mAh battery.

As for the Liquid Z630s, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS OGS display and comes with the company's Zero Air Gap screen.

Running Android 5.1 Lollipop with Liquid UI on top, the Z630s is powered by aocta-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. It will be available in 32GB storage variant with expandable storage support.

Measuring 156.3×77.5×8.9mm, the Z630 packs a large 4000mAh battery.

Similar to the Liquid Z530, the Liquid Z630s comes with an 8MP primary as well as front cameras – the front camera once again features a wide-angle lens, and also supports 1080p video recording.

It includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity features.
