BlackBerry Priv Android Smartphone announced

BlackBerry is still alive and they have just announced a new smartphone which is in tune with the times but also captures the soul of what made BackBerry such a rage during their glory years. A slider touch-screen smartphone with a classic BB keypad seems like a match made in heaven for loyal BBM fans.

The BlackBerry Priv which is short for Privacy will be launched sometime later this year. With just over three months left in 2015, we can hope to get more updates and buzz leads details and rumours out and about in the social media about the exciting comeback from the once revolutionary phone company that became complacent and nearly nose dived after an astronomical success.

Their failure to treat the Apple iPhone as the threat to their product was so grave that it nearly killed BB and we all know to what lengths people will go to get their hands on the new iPhone every time Apple launches a new device. The BB Priv has sloping edges kind of like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and despite knowing that the actual phone will most probably not look as cool as the digital render, there is an underlying feeling of happiness that we get to hear interesting things connected with BlackBerry.

John Chen, the CEO of BlackBerry confirmed plans to launch the Priv which will give users the latest in hardware while keeping their privacy as the top priority. The Priv promises to give users the reliability of BlackBerry's security and productivity with an existing app ecosystem which is being accessed regularly Android users.
